Helping Helpers, Healers & Humans in Transition

Find Their Way Through

Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Support for Caregivers, Healthcare Professionals, Therapists, and Adults in Transition

Serving Maryland, DC & Virginia - Secure virtual sessions available.

As a caregiver, therapist, healthcare professional, or person in transition you hold so much for others—sometimes too much.

But who supports you when the weight becomes too much — or when you’re not even sure what you need?

At KWD Wellness, I offer compassionate, mindfulness-based therapy and practices for those who are burned out, grieving, or navigating life transitions. This is a place to pause, exhale, and gently come back to yourself.

Mindfulness here isn’t about pushing through or simply “calming down.” It’s a practice of presence — and when approached with care, it can support deep healing. My work is grounded in trauma-sensitive mindfulness that means we honor your nervous system, prioritize safety, and move at a pace that feels right for you.

This is mindfulness that meets you where you are — not where you think you’re supposed to be.

PLEASE KNOW THIS…

As long as you are breathing there is more right with you than there is wrong.

Hi, I’m Kristin (she/her)

My mission is to create a safe, inclusive space where helpers, healers, and humans in transition can exhale and explore what’s weighing on their hearts. Whether you’re holding the grief of a patient loss, carrying the emotional labor of caregiving, or navigating a quiet identity shift in midlife, you don’t have to do it alone.

I specialize in working with therapists, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and women moving through grief, burnout, and life changes. My approach blends trauma-informed care with mindfulness-based practices, somatic awareness, and the grounding wisdom of nature.

Together, we’ll work gently but deeply—exploring patterns, clarifying boundaries, and discovering tools to regulate, reflect, and reconnect with your most centered self. I draw from evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, ACT, MBSR, and MBCT while always tailoring our sessions to honor your lived experience and pace.

You're the one people count on. I'm here to be someone you can count on, too.
